The Marines de Cogolin are located at the bottom of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Composed of 3 large basins, they represent the largest port on the Côte d'Azur. Indeed, the surface area of the entire port reaches approximately 36 hectares and is bordered by several kilometers of quays and pontoons. With its numerous parking spaces, this port can accommodate more than 1,600 ships.

Furthermore, with a wide pass of 80 meters, the entrance to the port allows almost absolute comfort and safety of navigation. The 3 basins are separated by piers, one of which is on which the harbor master's office is located, at the entrance to the port. To perfect this Mediterranean decor, these basins are also surrounded by residences and villas in warm colors, ochre and pink.
The Marines of Cogolin are a true haven of peace and well-being. On land or afloat, you will certainly enjoy an exceptional setting.

This marina is also very popular for its reception facilities and quality services, made available to boaters, daily and throughout the year. Indeed, the marina offers many services such as supplies, gas stations, but also boat rentals and sales, diving, etc.

It all began in 68 AD, in Pisa. Refusing to renounce his Christian religion, the steward of the Palace of Emperor Nero, Torpes was beheaded. Legend has it that his body was placed in a boat with a rooster and a dog. When it ran aground on the shore of what is now Saint-Tropez, the dog left the boat and the rooster ended up in a flax field, hence COGOLIN, from “Coq au lin”. There are also other versions, but whatever the origin of its name, the rooster remains an emblem that is dear to the people of Cogolin.

During the Second World War, the village of Cogolin found itself at the forefront of the events that led to the liberation of Provence, particularly through Cogolin beach, which was one of the gateways to the great landing in Provence. To this day, there are several commemorative plaques in the city, in the countryside or even on the seaside, retracing this page of history, precious to the people of Provence.

In 1964, the project for this marina emerged from an idea by Rothschild. Between 1964 and 1967, the first phase of construction began with the deepening of a pond and the development of a shipyard area. Indeed, this was a major construction site because all the work was done on a former marshy area.
In 1968, studies by the maritime service and the intervention of the architect Jean Dimitrijevic allowed an enlargement of the area to 23 hectares. The landscape was gradually transformed.
A year later, the port underwent development work to create three port basins, surrounded by residences known as villages or marines: Galiote, Cascatelle and Brigantine.
In 1970, boaters were welcomed into the port while land-based work was completed until 1982.

The Marines of Cogolin have transformed from a small fishing hamlet to the city it is today. Despite its development, Cogolin has always been attached to its Provençal roots and many personalities have been seduced by this peaceful village.
Just 3 km from Saint-Tropez, bordered by the beach and Port-Grimaud, there are large tourist and entertainment centres around Cogolin, but they are far enough away not to disturb the calm that reigns there, even in the height of summer.

Today, the Marines de Cogolin have become an essential place for nautical sports, but also an important holiday resort. Indeed, apartment rentals and various shops and restaurants line the quays. In the summer season, excursions and activities multiply, offering tourists the opportunity to fully enjoy the relaxing setting and the dynamic atmosphere of the surroundings.
